whitewater rafting?

I am going whitewater rafting for the first time ever and I was wondering what I should expect. I am going down to Tennessee for the trip. I am super excited and kind of nervous. I would love tips or advice or warnings or just a general idea of what I am going to be doing. Thanks! Do you die if you fall out?

1. waterproof mascara a DEF. prepare to get really wet. They usually have wet suits you have to rent. so bring a bathing suit to wear under. If your eyes are sensitive bring goggles. A tow and warm clothes to wear after bc you prob will be cold. Have fun. and hold on tight... I fell out in colorado.
2. no you dont die i went in Jamaica so its different but 1 thing to excpect is coooold water
3. Expect to have a lot of fun. Listen to your guide and remain calm especially if you happen to fall out. When you are told to paddle, make sure that you paddle because the act of paddling helps to keep you in the raft. Pay attention when the guides give their safefy speech. If you do fall out, make sure that you never try to stand up in moving water due to the risk of foot entrapment.
