Where is the best place for a camp/canoe trip in Northern Michigan?

We are looking for a weekend trip,with setting up Friday, canoeing Saturday and leaving Sunday.Anywhere from 2-6 hour canoe trip for family reunion so there will be all ages from 5-65.

1. There are so many places! The AuSable River is a great place to canoe/camp. Try looking at a travel michigan website for more ideas!
2. The Ausauble River in Mio. If you go there, find out how to get to Lewiston, a town about 25 miles northwest of there, and go to the Red Wood Steak House! They grill their steaks over cherry wood chips, and it is to die for!!!
3. Happy Mohawk canoe livery in Northern Muskegn County....While there visit the Brown Bear in Shelby, awesome food!
