Which river in China is very dangerous for rafting?

About ten years ago I saw some show on TV documenting an ill fated white water trip in China. I was only a kid when I saw it, so my memories are sketchy. I do remember that at the time no Westerner had completed the dangerous rapids on that river. I'm curious because I live near a rather dangerous river in Southern California.

2. You're probably referring to the Yangtze river in China - the Three Gorges Dam basically killed the river. Lots of online articles, footage, etc. From what I recall reading, the dam project has been a nightmare for the Chinese since it began.
