  1. I was made manager of my department and had the position for two years, before a hostile takeover. My boss was the general manager, who was Phi Beta Kappa, had a photographic memory, and was one of the most organized and knowledgeable people I have ever met. He was also one of the nicest people I have met. It was an absolute pleasure working for him. It only lasted two years, but it was a good run. My husband and I are still friends with he and his wife.
  2. The river of life IS Divine love, and in becoming aware of that one can stop fighting the rapids and go with the flow. Learning to cooperate with the river by following the Spiritual Laws, and singing the sacred name of God, HU, helps make the passage much easier. The river can then safely deliver one to their destination with the least wear and tear. An Invitation to Sing HU You are invited to try this simple spiritual exercise. It has helped people of many different faiths open their hearts more fully to the uplifting presence of God. To do the exercise, first get comfortable. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Next, gently put your attention on your inner visual screen, where daydreams and images come to you. With your eyes closed, sing HU (pronounced like the word hue) as a song of love. You may notice a feeling of peace, warmth, and comfort. You may also recognize the presence of the Divine through greater spiritual insights into your daily life. There are many ways to experience the love of God. When you sing HU and sit in quiet contemplation, you might also perceive the inner Light and Sound. The Light may appear as brightness or colors on your inner visual screen. The Sound may be musical or the sounds of nature, such as the wind or the ocean. However you experience the presence of God, it is bringing you a broader understanding of the life you lead.
  3. I'm not sure what you mean, but the hardest things I have been through have to be my car permanently breaking, losing my job, my grandfather unexpectedly dying, meeting my father for the first time right before he died, going to his funeral and my brother shooting a gun at my mother and missing her by centimeters, while I was 19 (which is tough in itself). This stuff happened in a 2 month span. The worst was thinking that it was all my fault and that nobody would like me if they knew. Why I thought that.. I don't know.
