Should we bring paddles when river tubing in a creek with mild rapids?

We are going tubing on a creek with class I to II rapids and I'm wondering if we should bring paddles to use to avoid rocks, etc. Any thoughts?

2. It would be better to bring the paddles and not need them, than to leave them and find out the your should have brought them.
