What part of the City of Grand Rapids is the best to live in?

Hi, considering locating to Grand Rapids. I'm wondering what part of the city you like best for housing. Thanks! Well I live with my boyfriend, we don't have any children. We love good restaurants, hiking, biking, fly-fishing, and anything outdoors. I'm pretty much just asking what the nicer, cuter parts of the city are to live in.

Not much in the line of public transportation........don't know what your job, kids, likes, dislikes, schools, shopping preferences are............not enough info to answere........
If you like hiking and fishing and stuff like that then I recommend the west side of Grand Rapids. It is more country like. Depending on where you live on the west side Alpine and downtown GR have some really good restraunts. Kind of hard to like outdoorsy stuff but want restraunts close buy it is either one or the other. you will have a bit of a drive for restraunts if you live on the west side.
