Im going to write a vampire book...?

and no, I am not doing this because of twilight. of course I love twilight - no rude comments on that please - but I have had this idea for years now. and finally I feel I have learned the styles and etc of writing a book. I wish for it to be based on vampires and the human vampire. but first I need a storyline, some names from the 1900's and some snowy states and villages that aren't as cold or snowy as etc. antartica... here is my idea of the vampire character so far. she will be a vampire form 1908, she will have long dark brown hair and red eyes, she will be petite and small about 5 foot 4. her basic story of her excistence shall be: INSERT NAME HERE was alone and lsot in the woods of INSERT SUNNY PLACE HERE when she stumbled across a rock. she was going to fall into the rapids of a fast flowing river but found herself leaning over the edge. she was not holding herself up and was pulled backwards by someone she could not see ashe was behind her pulling her backwards. she heard a faint "sorry" from a shy yet muscular sounding man's voice before feeling a slight pain in her neck and dropping to the floor. fo days she lay there as if unconcious but really she felt a raging pain. and ever since that day in INSERT SUNNY PLACE FROM ABOVE HERE she has been the human vampire. and still - for hundreds of year she searches for her creater, yet still she has not foiund him - and probably never will. what do you think? that isn't the exact wording I will use in the book because I did it quickly but I thought t it seemed OK. so names from the 1900's, sunny / warm countries and villages / towns with forests in them, cold snowy places and villages, perhaps a good story line or place to continue from the paragraph above or anything that might help. ps. I only want comments about the book, ideas, facts or suggestions. no comments about my stupid lame idea or things like that please. you shouldn't have clicked on here if you ddin't like A. books or B. vampires and if you did you should only comment your review and ideas please. thankyou everyone.

  1. any old fashioned name you can think of unless you want tpo do a lot of reasearch i strongly suggest you just make places up
  2. I know you don't want me to talk about Twilight, but the when it comes to publishing your book. It is going to be almost impossible. There are hundreds and even thousands of manuscripts being sent about vampires. Though, I wish you the best of luck with it. But, be prepared to get rejected countless times. Good Luck though.
  3. Chastity Emma Prudence Humility Brewster Constance Love Damaris (I found these names on the Mayflower Passenger list) Months and flowers were popular names too: May, June, April; Rose, Lily, Violet. At some point Christians named their children from the bible hence thousands of: Mary, Ruth, Sarah.
  4. What exactly do you mean, Human vampire? Does your book have vampires that were never human? That could be intereseting. everything else seems cliche and repetitive to all vampire genre books.
  5. You open by saying that you have "had this idea for years now", yet are asking us to give you the details of *your* story. I think you need to figure out the details of this story before you commit pen to paper, otherwise you'll be setting yourself up for defeat. This needs to be *your* book. Research period names, research climates of different states, research etc. You'll feel a great deal of satisfaction knowing that the finished product is yours, not yours + Y!A strangers.
