  1. You need to get links from other sites back to your site. You can do this by using sites like Squidoo Blogger Bloggersbase As well as using online directories. And don't forget article sites. You can write an article and then take that article and turn it into multiple formats. This will get you 100 times the exposure for one article. First write the article for your blog, then rewrite the article and send it to the article directory websites. Then take the same article and turn it into 12 different formats. 1. Post on your Blog 2. Rewrite and submit to Article Directories 3. Convert to Podcast 4. Convert to Press Release 5. Convert to Step By Step tutorial 6. Convert to Powerpoint 7. Convert to Video 8. Convert to PDF 9. Convert to EXE 10. Convert to Widget 11. Create custom RSS Feed 12. Convert to Forum Post
  2. Start with downloading a submission button from onlywire.com (under the tools tab from their website). With just one click you get to submit your content to about 24 networking sites. I also recommend downloading a status bar from alexa.com to keep track of your website SEO easily. Make sure you download it as statusbar and not as toolbar. I also use article marketing for SEO. With a unique piece of technology I get to submit my articles to over 200 article directories. This creates lots of backlinks, which help SEO further. You get to rank on the first pages of google easily doing that, thus getting more targeted visitors to your website.
  3. After a cursory review of your opening seo metatags, it appears that: 1. The <title>Ryan Woodcock - Home</title> metatags relies heavily on your domain name and does not contain any "generic" keywords much less a specific business/geographic target, i.e., street, city, state, country. Unless you plan to market your name as a major brand which may be very expensive; your best bet is to promote your woodwork not merely in the <keywords> or <description> metatags but in the <title> metatag [which is the very first metatag any search engine will index. Here's an improved <title> metatag: <title>woodwork and kitchenware | Derby, Great Britain | United Kingdom</title> 2. The <meta name="description" [metatag] content="Artist, Designer, Craftsman, Maker - Maker of sculptural woodwork and kitchenware. " /> is insufficient since normally the <description> metatags consists of 35-40 words to fom a singular sentence which best describes your goods and services. Unfortunately, no such sentence is found in your current <description> metatag. 3. The <meta name="keywords" [metatag] content="ryan woodcock, ryan john woodcock, craftsman, maker, artist, designer, the form of function, sculptural woodwork, kitchenware" /> should not contain any duplicate entries, i.e., your name and put in your business geographic target [Derby, Great Britain, United Kingdom]. Hopefully you will review these comments in a timely manner. Good luck!
  4. It's not showing up because your yet to be indexed by the search engines, this can take time but to speed it up... 1.Go and ping your site at a place like pingoat.net or feedping.net or both. 2.Then bookmark your site at Digg, Delicious and Stumbleupon. This will let all the search engines know your site exists and it has new content.
