do rapid cycle bipolar people ever have time where they feel normal?

like not experiencing depression or mania? and is mania always like you feel unstoppable or can it be rage? or is rage part of depression? can bipolar people experience like one mood swing thats really bad a day? or is it usually over a period of time?

  1. Yes. I think it's called euthymia.
  2. I have bipolar II ulradian rapid cycling, my mood shifts almost hourly. i have highs and lows through out the day. rage not so much, unless someone pisses me off, or i am truly having a bad day.that feeling will stay with me for a while then with all the mood swings it will diminsh. i do take mood stabalizers that help with the mood swings, but i can still tell when my mood is shifting. have a "normal" feeling....hahaha...never felt normal a day in my life. don't know what normal would feel like if it hit me in the face. i have lived and suffered with this for over 25 years. it's not going anywhere. hugs to ya, =^..^= Lesli
  3. Yes, bipolars can experience a time of "normality." But it's often very short for rapid cyclers. Rage can be a part of both mania and depression (I know from experience!). Rapid cyclers have have a mood swing within a week, day, or couple hours. Most commonly though, an episode lasts a couple months.
