if you got your blackberry wet is it possible that it will work once it dries?

i went to michigan tipped over in a canoe was dumb enough to take my cell and it got wet how do i fix my phone everytime i try to turn it on the red light keeps flashing but nothing happens...so wat should i do

1. Dry it off . Use hair dryer and everything.. if it doesn't work. Call customer service.
