Week long survival trip in Michigan?

I plan on going on a trip with a couple friends this summer. We want to go with the least amount of supplies like fishing pole, knife, matches, and water. I have gone camping many times and know what I am doing for the most part. I took a survival class in high school and went on a 5 day canoe trip (last night without a tent). I have always wanted to do this by myself but want to do it with a couple friends first. Does any body know where I can do this in michigan? I was thinking the u.p.? yes I live north of detroit

1. Do you currently live in Michigan? I would check out Sandy Beach in White Cloud. Check out PureMichigan.com. LOL! I live in California and I see commercials for Pure Michigan all the time.
2. A good book to buy is SAS survival techniques. You seem to have an idea of what your doing I would suggest though make sure you know and have a map and compass and can use it. Also let people know where you are and what your doing constantly it's very very important. Don't pourposely put yourself in a situation that can threaten your life.
