What are the chances of me losing my bikini top at a water park?

My friend suggested that I shouldn't wear a bikini to the water park, just in case my top falls off. But the only ones I have with me right now are halter bikini tops. Because she said that, I'm really paranoid. So I'm wondering what the chances are.

errmm it depends on what you go on but i would recommend not wearing one i would never take the risk

probably not even a slight chance of that happening, only in movies! i always just make sure that when you put it on, tie the string in a double knot then a bow, or a bow then a double knot:L! it'll be fine, dont worry:)
Depends, are you going down on your belly? Seriously, I would recommend wearing a sheer top, coverup, etc. on top of your bikini that you don't mind destroying in chlorine. Just in case your bikini does fly off, comes loose, etc. I've seen more girl's bikini come undone than fly off (including mine). Also the top will help you from getting burnt to a crisp (sun burn).
It happened to someone when I went to a water park. Just don't go on any water rides that drop you into the water or on any slides where you enter the water at a fast speed!
Well if it is a bikini top that you strap on not tie then there is a chance of that happening. And if you are wearing a biking top without straps there is a chance of that also and you would have to keep pulling it up. I would say try getting a bikini that ties at the top and the back. Tons of people loses their tops at water parks especially when they are surfing on this one ride and when they fall if just slips off because of the pressure of the water.
I won't sit here and lie to you buy telling you it doesn't happen. But buy the same token to believe it's going to happen to you every time you go down a slide is an exaggeration. Depends on how loose or tight your top is tied, how snug it fits on you in the first place. It's also dependent on how much water gets under your top and how fast your going when it happens. If you're sitting straight up when you come off the slide there is minimal danger. If you're flat on your back (like me) when you come off the slide you may find your back strap untied and the bikini wrapped around your neck (which has happened to me a couple of times) when you come up out of the tail race at the bottom.
it could happen, but the chances arent' really that good, just make sure it's tied tightly.
If you're scared, before you shoot into the water off a slide put a each hand on the opposite shoulder.
