Would wearing a poncho help me not get wet on Kali River rapids?

Ive been on every disney ride except this one because Ive heard people get soaking wet in water. Do people wear ponchos on this ride or will it just be embarrassing? Thanks, and i would hate to be soaking wet cause it would be very uncomfortable

1. People wear ponchos on this ride all the time. It all depends on luck of the draw on Kali River Rapids -- you could be almost completely dry but the person sitting right next to you could get soaked, and there's absolutely no way to tell who's going to get wet and who isn't. Bear in mind that getting soaked on a hot day in Florida feels REALLY good, so you may want to get wet!
