How am I supposed to breath when I am running?
I just started running yesterday so I can do the Gate River Run, and I was wondering If I was supposed to breath in my nose and out through my mouth or what? Also I get very painful cramps in my sides sometimes, anyway I can get rid of that?

- well thats normal wen u get crams by ur stomach that means ur feeling the pain n that ur working really hard :) well u should breath in ur nose cuz out through ur mouth u will get tired easyly :)
- Yeah, you are supposed to breath in through your nose and out through your mouth, to get rid of the cramps on your side, stretch your arms upward and lean on one side for a little while and then do the other. And make sure you keep yourself hydrated.
- ur supposed to breath in ur nose and out through ur mouth when u run, this is very hard to do when ur running tho. i can sometimes breath in my nose and out my mouth when i run a mile but sometimes i cant so i do the opposite in my mouth and out my nose or in my mouth and out my mouth and i dont get cramps (sometimes) anyways ur probably getting cramps cuz ur not breathing right or u drink water before ur run, if u want to get rid of the cramps dont have water right before u run and breath proprely
- dont listen to them...i breathe in and out of my mouth and i run a 4:49 mile..10:16 2 mile and this is my first year of running
- I can breathe..... in and out your nose or in nose and out your mouth. but don't trying to breathe in and out your mouth, your mouth will get dry fast
- well a cramp is not enough oxygen getting to the body cells in the muscles so that tells u what Ur doing now isn't working . the best thing to do is have Ur mouth open at all times it sounds weird but it works hanging Ur mouth open allows air to pass through effortlessly. trust me i had the same problem but after my coach explain that to me it help me so much and it showed in my times.
