How to tackle a slow running River for mainly bream.?

I am taking part in a match on a slow flowing river next week and would like to know the best ways to tackle this. E.G. baits, rigs, amount of feeding, basically any general information that will increase my catch rate. The species that are mainly present are bream, roach and perch. thanks kriss
