Should i buy a creeking kayak, river running kayak or a play boat kayak for my first white water kayak?
See im buying a white water kayk from riot but i have never white water kayaked before what boat type of boat is better?

- The most obvious answer would be to buy a "river runner" although it depends on what your primary interest is. Most people begin whitewater kayaking with running rivers. Once they have developed their boat control skills (after a year or more) and have a roll they may consider other paddling options. OTOH some creekboats will work fine as river runners -- they simply have more volume. Also it depends on where you expect to be paddling most often. If you have a local park-and-play spot you might want to go right into playboating. Whitewater kayaking is not something you can do alone safely so look for a local club.
