Whitewater Rafting California Knowledge Base

Where can I go whitewater rafting in socal California, preferably around Orange County? I've heard of Kern River, but that's still a while a way from where I'm at, do I have any other options? Also, if you're reading this, do you know where I can go kayaking someplace near, too?
I live in Southern California and I want to plan a whitewater rafting trip for summer. I need help planning!? I was thinking somewhere up in Northern California or maybe the Colorado River, but I'm not sure how to plan it. When's the best time to go and what are some of the best companies to go with?
What's a good company to contact to set up a whitewater rafting trip for the weekend in California? My buddy and I are interested in going on a whitewater rafting trip this weekend (8/7 - 8/9) and I would appreciate if anyone could recommend a good company or tour package for the trip. Although neither of us have gone rafting before, we're both reasonably athletic, in good health and want some adventure. Looking for: 1. Reasonably Priced (state mandated furloughs suck!) 2. As close as possible to Los Angeles 3. Friendly raft guides and people I've checked yelp and other review sites but I've always gotten great feedback here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Whitewater rafting trips? I'm planning a whitewater rafting trip in southern California. which rafting companies would you recomend to go with? I'd love to go in April, but I'll lettle for May if that's best. I have been rafting before, so i'm looking for a category 4 trail if possible. If you've been there, is there a restaurant or hotel that you lwould recomend? Thanks a bunch!
Do you have a cool shirt design for a rafting company? I work for a whitewater rafting company and I design their tee-shirts that we sell to guests. However, I'm having a brain fart here! Anyone have any good ideas? Or something that you would buy if you went rafting? (We raft in California.)
How is rafting on Cache Creek? I saw a self guided class III whitewater rafting trip at cache creek (2 hrs north of SF, California). I was wondering if you have done it, and how you liked it, if the rapids were tough. Thanks.
Where are the best places for water sports (ie.kayaking) in San Bernardino County and the surrounding area? I usually travel to Northern California to do WhiteWater Rafting trips and such, but I want to start doing some canoeing/kayaking and/or other water sportsl in my area. Does anyone know where would be the best places to go in the San Bernardino Area? Thanks! 8-)
What are some other fun things to do on a road trip? Me and my friend are going on almost a month long road trip this summer. Here's a list of things we've already planned on doing: *parasailing *jet skiing *whale watching *snorkeling *ziplining *horseback riding *ATVing *canoeing *whitewater rafting *kayaking *and possibly bungee jumping We're going to Florida, Texas, Arizona, California, Washington, Utah and Colorado. My question is, can anyone think of any other fun things to do? (apart from shopping and attractions and stuff like that. I'm looking more for activity ideas.) Thanks in advance!
Is living in Brisbane or Sydney better? I'm a European international student and got accepted to University of Queensland and University of Sydney for my graduate study. Since I believe they are both great universities, are both in the group of eight and have a similar course outlines, I wanted to focus more on the location in my decision where to go. I'm looking for a location, where I can do a lot of outside activities. Adventure sports like whitewater rafting, diving, rock climbing, sky diving or sailing. The weather should be perfect. I'm looking for a location where there is more a work to live instead of a live to work atmosphere. I don't mind if its humid, but I'd like to see a clear sky. I don't know if I can trust all this Brisbane advertising material on the web with all these perfect sky's. I have heard it can be humid and so I was wondering if it is often cloudy but warm. I have also lived in southern california for a while, it was hot and there were no clouds most of the time. Which I really enjoyed. What do you think, where will I be more happy? Thanks for your help!

Do you know of any good summer camps? Hi I am 15 and I am a girl. My parents say I have to do something with myself over the summer. I live in California and I have been looking at summer camps, but I have been having a hard time finding the right one. They said I could go to a camp or do community service work. I am open to either option. I have looked at places like sky camp, but they are a little too pricey. The camp would have to cost around $2,000.00 to $2,500.00. I would not like to travel very far (maybe like Oregon or Idaho, maybe farther) or if it were cheap, Somewhere like Costa Rica/Hawaii. I know I ask a lot, but any help would be much appreciated :) Thanks!! P.S. I am very interested in kickboxing and anything involving fitness! I also want to try whitewater rafting, kayaking, hiking, things like that!!
