Best attractions and rides at Disney Animal Kingdom? What are some of the best must-see attractions at Animal Kingdom that would be fun and/or interesting for people in their late 20s? I want to know what attractions are for little kids that can be skipped and which ones we should definitely see? Obviously we're going on the Mount Everest rollercoaster because I heard its fantastic. What is it like? The Primeval Whirl, Kali River Rapids, Triceratop Spin and the Dinosaur ride we're planning on seeing right away. Are those good choices? What animals are in the petting zoo area? Sorry for so many questions. Thanks in advance for any advice.
What is scarier: Expedition Everest or Space Mountain? Hi I have been to Walt Disney World Resort 12 times but never had the guts to ride Expedition Everest. I have been on most of the thrill rides in Disney, including Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Test Track, Mission: Space (Green), Dinosaur, and Kali River Rapids. Please answer soon. Thank you!

Question about Big Thunder Mountain Railroad? I was watching videos of it on YouTube to get an idea of the speed. I really am unsure about whether or not it's too fast for me. I'm 14, and I can handle Kali River Rapids (which was almost too rough, but I enjoyed it) and I can handle Primeval Whirl (which was rougher than Kali for me and it was a little bit scary), so how does it compare to those rides? I think Big Thunder looks so fun...

who is right and what should i do? My school is having a 7th grade field trip to Busch Gardens Tampa. and me and my other two friends (let call them Alex and Sasha) are usually in our own little group because we don't really hang out with anyone els. The only problem is that i LOVE roller coasters and just recently got over my fear of them, but my friends haven't! last year when we wen't on a field trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom I was still scared of rides but Sasha was telling me that if i didn't go on rides she'd be mad at me (we tried to convince Alex before we got there but we couldn't ) so I got exited about them and me and Sasha couldn't wait to go on Expedition Everest! when we got there the first thing we went on was Kali River Rapids (Alex didn't go) after that we went over to Everest and both my friends got scared! I was looking forward to video taping it from the first row. luckily we found another group i could go with and right after i got of smiling Sasha said that next time she'd go(Alex's dad can get us in for free) after that we made Alex go on a baby roller coaster and the river rapid one. everyone Loved IT! later that summer i went on my first real roller coaster Manta at Sea World. but know we have another field trip coming with bigger rides Sasha promised me and her older sister that this time she wouldn't get scared but Alex is hopeless Ive made a plan to go on the most tinniest things ever and work our way up to the biggest one Sasha agreed but not Alex so what do i do what if they chicken out again I'm not gonna have any fun gust walking around looking at animals but their not gonna have any fun waiting outside the line for me to come out! i don't want to join another group because they are my best friends and i don't know anyone els all i ask is for them to try it once if they don't like it i wont bother them but I'm 97% shur they will LOVE IT! so what do i do?

HELP, HOW TO GET OVER MY NERVES TO RIDE RIDES AT WDW AND HAVE A GOOD TIME (see below)? Im going to Disney World this thursday, and like ive been psycing myself out by reading reviews and stuff. I usually dont get motion sickness, i love riding planes, and i rode the rapids at alabama adventure 3 times in a row. But ive been psycing myself out to like die on a ride or something, and i dont wanna throw up my guts infront of my friends. I want to ride Soarin', Space Mountain, Test Track, Big Thunder Mountain, and Kali River Rapids. What do i need to know to ride those rides, and more? Do they do drops? Cause i hate drops with a burning passion to an extent. Is it fast and crazy enough to get sick? Do they spin? Cause i hate spinning as well. Idk if i have any motion sickness, does it sound like it? Any experiences for you guys? Will it effect my acid reflux? Any other rides i should be able to ride? I think i like speed and like turns, i havent rode a ride in a while. Any descriptions? HELP!
Going to WDW at 13 weeks along, aren't MOST rides OK? I'll be at 13 weeks when I go to Disney World this month. I did research on which rides are absolute no-no's, and I think a couple of them are too precautionary. I've been to Disney several dozen times and know these rides well. I'm definitely going to skip Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Expedition Everest, Primeval Whirl, the Rock n' Roller-Coaster, Test Track and the Tower of Terror. However, I plan on going on Splash Mountain, the non-spinning version of Mission: Space, Dinosaur, The Kilimanjaro Safari, Star Tours, and maybe the Kali-River Rapids. I feel like these pose a minimal threat. Anyone with experience have any opinions on the matter? Oh, and does anyone know if it's safe for a pregnant woman to eat their delicious smoked turkey legs?

Is it possible to go to Disney World and have fun without riding any rides? I happen to loathe roller coasters, but every time I went to disney world, I got on them for the satisfaction of others. Since I really hate the drop part, the tower of terror was just torture for me. I'm thinking about going back one day, but without riding the things I hate (That's all roller coasters and rides with drops.I like the kiddie stuff like the tea cups or Kali River Rapids). What could I do? By the way, I've been to disney world about four times, all of those times with a group of thrill seekers. I'd most likely go with a small group of friends (about 4) who like the roller coasters, but I'd probably venture off on my own anyway. I love shopping, food, music, food, culture, food, and swimming when sharks aren't involved. Oh and did I mention food?
How much can I do at Disney world (from this list) in two days? I know we can't do all of this, but how much of the fallowing do you think we can do and what should we skip that's not worth it? It's our first time going, two adults, an 11 year old and a 14 year old. (It would be great if you could copy and paste the list and put an asterisk next to the ones we should see) Animal Kingdom- It's tough to Be a Bug! 3D show Kilimanjaro Safari Kali river rapids Expedition everest Primeval whirl DINOSAUR Hollywood- Indiana Jones show Star tours Rock n' Roller coaster Tower of Terror Epcot- Mission Space Test track Soarin' Honey, I shrunk the audience Magic Kingdom- Pirates of the Caribbean Splash Mountain Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Tomorrowlan Indy Speedway Space Mountain Astro Orbiter Please and Thank you :)
Cool pre-shows at Disney World? Here's the scoop: my wife will be 4 1/2 months pregnant when we visit Disney World late next month with our 2 boys, ages 10 and 9. I know these attractions have advisements against expectant mothers riding that I've copied from another question: Disney's Animal Kingdom Park: DINOSAUR Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain Kali River Rapids Kilimanjaro Safaris Primeval Whirl Disney - MGM Studios: Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Star Tours Twilight Zone Tower of Terror EPCOT: Body Wars Mission: SPACE Test Track Magic Kingdom: Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Space Mountain Splash Mountain Tomorrowland Indy Speedway My question is which of these attractions have pre-shows or sites that are worth seeing while waiting in line for the main attraction? I remember Tower of Terror has a really cool "lobby" with a movie explaining the story behind the ride. Are there any others like that?

At Walt Disney World, how long do I have to wait in line for popular attractions? At Tokyo Disney Resort(TDR),we usually have to wait in line for 1 to 2 hours for popular attractions like Buzz Lightyear,Winnie the Poo,Space Mountain etc without a fastpass. I heard that WDW is less crowded than TDR in Japan. My family is going to WDW in Octber of the next year. We want to enjoy Expedition Everest,Finding Nemo,Dinosaur,Kali River Rapids,Soarin,Test Track,RR Coaster etc because TDR does not have them. And my daughter wants to enjoy Stitch's Great Escape because she love Stitch most among all characters. Please teach me how to reduce the waiting time.

What should three adults and 1 teen do in Disney if we only have 3 days? The party will be me, my sister-in-law, my 36 year old neice, and my fourteen year-old daughter. My daughter loves everything Disney, and so with only three days, i want to make sure that she gets to do everything she wants to do. heres what we really want to do: MK: splash, space, and thunder mountain buzz lightyear haunted mansion peter pans flight philharmagic? pirates of the carribean carousel of progress AK: expidition everest primevil whirl dinosaur kali river rapids safari Epcot: Soarin Test track world showcase HS: rockin roller coaster tower of terror star tours toy story mania american idol? great movie ride? plus we want to go to downtown disney...what do you think we should do in only three days? how should we plan?
why does disney have such small height restrictions? I've noticed that Disney has it better when it comes to height restrictions. To prove my point, I'll point out similar attractions from Disney and Universal that have height limit. Example 1: TOT: 40", but could easily rise to 44" or even 48". Dr. Doom; 52". Example 2: Kali River Rapids; which has a 30 foot drop gets 38". Popeye and Bluto; 42" but the biggest drop is probably 18-22 ft. Example 3: Expedition Everest is 44" but goes down a backwards drop 80 ft in the dark. Revenge of the Mummy; 48" but the biggest drop is 25 ft; it's just the launch that makes the drops big. Example 4: RNRC; 48" but it goes 60 mph in launch and in the dark and upside down 3 times. Hulk launches at 40 mph and goes upside down only 4 times more but gets a 54" height limit. Example 5: Buzz Lightyear shoot em' up gets no height limit. MIB which is quite similar and only has a few spins and a "scary" ending gets a 42". The only Universal ride I'd argue needs a bigger height limit is Dudley Do Right which deserves a 52" height limit. Also if Universal made a ride like Test Track; it would get 46". And Mission: Space... totally 51". Are height limits biased to Disney? You decide.
Do you think Animal Kingdom is worth it? I have been to Animal Kingdom twice since it opened in '98. The first time was in August '03 with my husband (his first time to Disney, ever), my sister and my mom. We gave everything a shot since we had never done the park before. We were all sorely disappointed. We saw 0 animals on the Kilamanjaro Safari... and we went early in the day because we figured as it got hotter the animals would become inactive. The "poacher" story line and fake characters were just lame. Rafiki's Planet Watch can be experienced at our local Nature Center. We waited in line for 2-3 hours for the Kali River Rapids. The FastPasses were out, so we figured it must be worth it. NOT! We found it to be slow moving, and didn't get a drop of water on us despite all of the warnings. The highlight of AK was It's Tough to be a Bug, Dinosaur and the Primeval Whirl. Our second, and most recent, trip was in May '07 when it was just me and my husband. We headed to the park primarily so he could do Expedition: Everest. He enjoyed it, but after giving some of the other attractions a 2nd chance, he said he didn't like it enough to come back to Animal Kingdom in the future just for that. Again It's Tough to be a Bug, Dinosaur and the Primeval Whirl were the main attractions for us. We don't have kids, so we did not go through Camp Minnie-Mickey. And we are not going back to AK just for that. I am aware there are shows we can catch, but I am not going to wait around all day to catch a performance of Nemo- The Musical when I can be spending my time at another park doing something. What is it that makes you like (or dislike) it so much? Is it possible we had two bad experiences and it really is great? When we went in Aug of course it was packed, the lines were forever, and it was hot. When we went in May it was perfect. We were able to do the rides so many times without having to wait in line we were actually kind of bored... I'm used to having to wait, at least a little while. I bet we went on Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Space and Thunder Mountain about 5 times each... because there were no lines anywhere.
