What kind of canoe do I need for river with rapids? I'm going on a trip this year and am needing a canoe to use on the White River. I hear that there are some pretty good rapids on this river so I'm needing a canoe that can withstand this type of stress. Can anyone suggest what kind of canoe I should buy, length and cost of this particular type of canoe ? I have roughly $400 to spend total. I would also be interested in how to obtain a canoe for this price. I have friends that tell me to try canoe rentals for their used and out of service canoes. Is this a good idea ? Thanks a bunch.
Where to get inner tube for river rapids tubing? I know you can get the 30 dollar tubes for boating from the store but im looking where to buy the classic black car inner tubes for riding down rivers. I cant find any of these though, does anyone know where i can pick a couple of these up. -Thanks It seems they come from 18 wheelers, (car tires went tubeless in the late 1940's so i dont expect to find any of those :p) So does anyone know where i can get tubes for an 18 wheeler?
River with lots of rapids the whole way? It seems like rivers like the Colorado which are known for rapids eventually mellow out and are no more fun for rafting. If I were with a group of experienced rafters, are there any rivers with plenty of whitewater throughout? Thanks!
Some more questions about Alton Towers, UK, this time concerning The Kongo River Rapids? (Preferable someone who has been recently as in the last few months thanks) In about 11 days I'm going to Alton Towers with some friends and we plan to go on everything, naturally, however because there is seven of us we know we won't be together for all the rides for example on Air, Nemesis and Rita we will be on different rows. One thing we are looking forward to is the Kongo River Rapids so we will all be together and can get a group ride photo however I am unsure of the number of seats per raft, is it 6 or 8? Also how much do ride photos cost?
Which river has the fastest rapids? Some segments may be slower and most of the time the rapids may be slower. Some slower rapids may have more dangerous segments. This is about which river has the fastest segments, sometime during the year, probably after heavy rains, upriver..

Which river in China is very dangerous for rafting? About ten years ago I saw some show on TV documenting an ill fated white water trip in China. I was only a kid when I saw it, so my memories are sketchy. I do remember that at the time no Westerner had completed the dangerous rapids on that river. I'm curious because I live near a rather dangerous river in Southern California.
What is the best intermediate kayaking river closest to Dallas Texas? Me and my friends/family have been Kayaking a couple of times in a class 2 river and we want to find something a little more challenging (not too dangerous). I have been looking at rivers close to north Texas and can only find a couple of decent ones with good rapids. I need advice on a good river with a steady flow and a decent amount of rapids. We want to be on the river for close to 3-5 hours. Any advice would be greatly appreciated !!

Which river in Costa Rica has the best class IV rapids with the best scenery? Send me as much information as you can about the Pacuare River. We're thinking of coming to raft the river sometime between Feb. 6th and 14th. We would like at least a class III, but would prefer a class IV. In addition to any information you have, here are a few of my questions about rafting: 1. Which river in Costa Rica has the best class IV rapids with the best scenery? Is it Rio Pacuare? Or is there another better one? 2. Is there enough water to raft the Pacuare in early February? Or would Reventazon be better? 3. We're thinking about a 1 or 2 day trip, what do you recommend?

Nile River Rapid Names in Uganda? I went white water rafting at the source of the nile in Uganda with the company Adrift for a one day excursion. We went through around 8 rapids and I remember some of the names like bujagali falls, sibling rivalry, retrospect, big brother, etc.. but I cant remember the rest and the correct order. Does anyone know the order of the rapid names starting with Bujagali Falls and ending with the Bad Place?

Where is the best river rafting in Turkey? I found some stuff online, but the companies running the tours always make their river sound like the best, of course. I'd like some personal opinions on anything from 1 to 5, good quiet canoeing to rushing rapids, anywhere in the country.
