What exactly is a Rapid Deployment Force like the 82nd or 101st? I am going 11B and was thinking about putting Fort Bragg or Fort Campbell down on my "dream sheet," but someone told me to consider the fact that both divisions are Rapid Deployment Forces. What does that mean? What is the difference between an RDF division from any other division like the 10th Mountain or 25th? I heard you can't drink and have to have bags packed and ready to deploy at a moments notice. Details would be great! Thanks everyone.

Is a Friendship Anniversary Stupid? Okay so me and my best friend are going to celebrate our 1 year anniversary ... the exact date we met. We're going to Fort Rapids (a local indoor water park) the day before, and giving each other our presents at midnight since the exact day falls on a sunday, and we can't spend the night with each other because she's in public school. (I'm homeschooled) I told a friend of mine this and she was like, that's so retarded. Is it stupid?? I don't think it is but idk.... Thanks

How Likely is it that I'm pregnant? Okay, so I'm 14 and I WAS a virgin. I Lost my virginity to someone who I thought was EXTREMELY attractive at Fort Rapids. I barely knew the kid at all. We were the same age. I know you're suppose to lose your virginity to someone you love but I wanted it out of the way. So me, him and my friend got extremely drunk. After awhile things started to happen, I informed him that I was on my period and had a tampon in, I said it'd be gross to have sex on my period. He said he didn't care, so I went to the bathroom, took out the tampon and we tried to get it in BUT I was a virgin and we needed some sort of Lube and I wasn't giving oral. So my friend brings us COFFEE CREAMER to use as lube, he said it was fine to use it, it worked and he used the pull out method. So now I'm not a virgin and I would like to know what the chances are that I'm pregnant?
They say Ohio is boring? I've heard they say Ohio is boring. It makes me so mad they say that. They say we are stuck up and worship our football team like it's God!? It makes me angry!! I lived in Ohio for all my life and I thought it was interesting. We have Cedar point (worlds best amusement park for 13 years look it up) and Kings Island. We have fort rapids, Kalahari, Coco Keys, great wolf lodge and everything! They say we are boring! Personally I HATE the Buckeyes and never been to a game of theirs. They say we don't deserve the spot for our football record and we are overrated!?? They are just jealous! We are home of the Wright Brothers and Thomas Edison too. Who here agrees with me? That Ohio is NOT boring and as bad as they try to make it?

Help on family activities?? I live in Ohio. I am trying to put together an intenerary for the family for once a month to get together to do something. So far, I have looked in to Cosi, Columbus Zoo, and Fort Rapids. Does anyone know of any others that would be fun for a mom, dad, 8 yr old girl, and 6&7 yr old boys would enjoy doing in the Ohio area. Possible travle to local states like, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan, etc.... Any suggestions would be appreciated. I tried to look in to Sea World but that is no longer available in Ohio!! I was shocked! First I'd heard of that! Thanks everyone! I know we dont HAVE to go anywhere. It is just nice for us to get out and away to do something like this once in a while. This year is going to be different for us. I promised them that. We sit @ home every Saturday and do the family night thing playing games, watching movies, and vegging out. This is something that is going to be earned by them for the month for doing chores and geting along and stuff like that.
Should I wear a bikini? Well, I've been invited to go with my girlfriend to Fort Rapids this August. (I'm a girl as well, for your information. xD) I'm a plus size girl, weighing about 180 pounds, and I'm very self conscious. But. My stomach itself is actually pretty flat except for that damned flab in the lower area. I was thinking of wearing a bikini top and a pair of board shorts while we're there to boost my self esteem a bit. Do you think this would work? I need to be more confident with myself, and I think this may be a step up. What do you think of plus sized girls in bikinis? Attempt to hold back your rude comments, if you can. Thanks. ^^ Actually, a lot of weight goes to my hips and such, which is why I wanted to cover up my lower area with some board shorts instead of an actual bikini bottom piece. A lot of the weight on my upper half isn't in my stomach, so this is why I wanted to try wearing a halter bikini top or something similar. >u<

Fort Hood or Fort Bliss, which one is better? We are looking into choosing one of these 2 posts, but we don't know which one is better for us. We're a family of soon to be 4, there is a baby on the way but probably he will born before we move, we have a 3 year old boy too, we like the Texas weather and also our family lives in Texas so we're closer to home. Also I would like to know if these posts are rapid deployment, cause I would like my husband to spend a little more time with me now that the baby will be born, I heard that Fort Hood is, but we're not absolutely sure, anybody has lived in any of these posts that knows a little bit more about them?

I'm losing hair at a rapid rate, any one know what I mean? So, I've moved down to Fort Hood again, and I've started losing massive amounts of hair again. I know its the water - it did this to me last time I lived here and didn't stop till I moved back to the DFW area. Has this happened to any one? Does any one have any tips (besides not washing my hair, yuck) on how to stop my hair from falling out?
What is the kayaker's average rate of change from point A to point B? The Slave River rapids between Fort Fitzgerald, AB, and Fort Smith, NT, are popular for experienced whitewater kayakers. To cross an 800-m-wide section of the river, a kayaker points his kayak perpendicular to the current. He maintains this position as he paddles at a rate of 2m/s. However, the current affects the kayaker's actual course. He reachers the other side in 6 min 40 s (400 s) at a point 2000 m downstream from his original position. What is the kayaker's average rate of change from point A to point B? The answer is "approximately 5.4 m/s." How do you go about calculating this, given that m = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1 (slope)?

Are army phsyical profiles suggestions for giving assignments or are they to be followed mandatory? My fiance has been on a continued temporary army medical profile for the past 4 months. His leg is injured and the injury has not been diagnosed and continues to worsen. Under his profile, he has been given a "3" under "L" (lower extremeties). However, his superior officer has said that physical profiles are merely "suggestions", and now he has begun and has been assigned to more field work that far exceeds the limitations the doctor noted. His profile says he is not run, carry more than 35 pounds, stand for more than 30 miunutes. My fiance is a tanker, and his field work has required him to wear all his gear (including plating), carry his firearms, board vehicles, run, etc., all of which the doctor said he is unable to do and is clearly marked in his profile. Are physical profiles really just a suggestion to this great of an extent? He has been in the army for 7 years, but with this injury, it would have been disqualifying if he had tried to enter now. Can someone elaborate on what is going on here? I'm not sure how much weight a Physical Profile carries and if his commanding officer is neglecting his physical condition to the point where something needs to be done about it. Thank you for any responses :) Also, how does this affect deployment issues since the temporary profile keeps getting renewed? He is stationed at Fort Stewart (a rapid deployment base, this would be his 4th deployment in just over 7 years) in Georgia and the stoploss date is quickly approaching for their deployment date this winter. I just wanted to add another update. The profile my fiance just received was his 5th profile, and he was told that regardless of his situation, he would not be allowed to be put on profile again after this month. He hasn't gotten any better from the physical therapy and they have yet to give him an MRI. I read that if profiles are continued 6 times consecutively, that the soldier must be referred to a specialist and the profile might turn from temporary to permanent (making him undeployable). Is there anything to do in this situation? He hasn't been properly diagnosed, and without an MRI, might never be... but the risk of him becoming undeployable seems to be more important to them than finding out the medical reason. After all, your profile doesn't magically jump from a "3" to a "1" over night.
Ticketmaster Mailing Tickets Standerd Mail.? Okay. So I just ordered Secondhand Serenade Tickets online through ticket master. And they were for the Grand Rapids michigan show. Commute from Georgia to Michigan? My fiance is going to be heading home from the army soon. He will be leaving at midnight, he's in Fort Benning, Georgia, and I am in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I would like to know how long it will take for him to come home otherwise I'm going to be so restless. Uh hi thanks for being COMPLETELY rude. Yes I know what google maps and mapquest is but i'd rather hear from a person whos actually made the commute instead of a computer with no leeway. And yes hes driving from base to home. AND he is leaving at midnight so he can get home as early as possible in the after noon. Leave for the army is 2 weeks, not forever, so what's asinine?

Welterweight Division Still Red, White and Blue? this seems to be a not so subtle jab at Pacquiao and all his PED and political nonsense. LOS ANGELES (April 21)…Check your almanac: On the night of September 16, 1981, time stopped for one hour while welterweight champions Sugar Ray Leonard and Thomas Hearns traded punches in Las Vegas. That’s how big a fight it was. On May 1, welterweights Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Sugar Shane Mosley will clash in the biggest bout of 2010. The mega-matchup of multi-division champions, pound-for-pound kings and future Hall of Famers summons memories not only of Leonard-Hearns, but also of the rich history of American welterweights. In recent years, boxing’s headlines have been made largely by foreign-born fighters like Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao, Joe Calzaghe and Juan Manuel Marquez. At welterweight or otherwise, there have been precious-few all-American matchups. In that sense, Mayweather-Mosley is a throwback fight.. In the boxing-rich 1980s, the majority of super-fights were contested between Americans. Among the memorable matchups were Leonard-Hearns, Leonard-Marvin Hagler, Hagler-Hearns, Larry Holmes-Gerry Cooney, Holmes-Muhammad Ali, Michael Spinks-Holmes and Mike Tyson-Spinks. The same can be said for many of the major fights of the 1990s, including Evander Holyfield-Riddick Bowe, Holyfield-Tyson, Holyfield-George Foreman, Michael Moorer-George Foreman Roy Jones-Bernard Hopkins, Jones-James Toney and Pernell Whitaker-Oscar De La Hoya. The first decade of the new century has seen a shift. There have been big fights involving Americans (De La Hoya-Mayweather, De La Hoya- Hopkins, Mosley-De La Hoya I and II), but nowhere near as many as in previous years. Perhaps Mayweather-Mosley represents the beginning of a shift back to the way it used to be. No one is quite sure of the origin of the word “welterweight,” but boxing historians are certain that the 147-pound division’s first world champion was Boston’s Paddy Duffy, who was crowned in 1888. In the 122 years since, the division has been dominated by Americans. Consider the following: *In 1939, St. Louis’ Henry Armstrong, who is usually ranked below only Sugar Ray Robinson on all-time pound-for-pound lists, defended his welterweight title an incredible 11 times. This feat took place only a year after Armstrong defeated Chicago’s Barney Ross, an all-time great himself, to win the title. *New York City’s Sugar Ray Robinson is remembered primarily as a middleweight, but was at his fighting best as a welterweight. He defended his title five times and was beaten only once, by a middleweight…Jake LaMotta. *A handful of the fighters who have held the mythical pound-for-pound title did so as welterweights, including Whitaker (Norfolk, Virginia), Leonard (Palmer Park, Maryland), Mayweather (Grand Rapids, Michigan), Mosley (Pomona, California), De La Hoya (Los Angeles) and Donald Curry (Fort Worth, Texas). *Other legends who held the welterweight title before jumping to middleweight include Mickey Walker (Elizabeth, New Jersey) and Carmen Basilio (Canastota, New York). *Four of Ring Magazine’s 10 best welterweight fights of all time were all-American affairs: Basilio-Tony DeMarco II, Leonard-Hearns I, Simon Brown-Maurice Blocker and De La Hoya-Mosley I. American athletes have historically been bigger than their foreign counterparts. Scan boxing’s various divisions and you’ll see that while the vast majority of heavyweight champions have been American, the United States has produced very few notable flyweights and bantamweights. With a limit of 147 pounds, the welterweight division lies somewhere near the middle of boxing’s eight original weight classes. One might say it is the average or median of all weight classes and as a result, there have been great fighters from all over the world competing in the division. Pacquiao hails from the Philippines; Miguel Cotto, Felix Trinidad, and Wilfred Benitez from Puerto Rico; Ike Quartey from Ghana; Ted “Kid” Lewis from England; Joe Walcott from Barbados; Jimmy McLarnin from Ireland; Pipino Cuevas from Mexico; Roberto Duran from Panama and Jose Napoles and Kid Gavilan from Cuba. Still, Ring Magazine lists Americans as the four best fighters in the history of the division (Armstrong, Robinson, Leonard, and Ross). Until the recent influx of titlists from the former Soviet Union and elsewhere, Americans dominated at heavyweight, and their excellence was best explained by genetics. Not so at welterweight, where the fighters have always battled on an even playing field. Mayweather-Mosley serves as a reminder not only that Americans remain among the world’s best fighters, but also that the welterweight division is still red, white and blue.

Have The Niagra falls only ever stopped once and are they ever likely to do so again.? A STOPPAGE OF THE FALLS OF NIAGARA. The following remarkable account of the stoppage of Niagara Falls, appeared in the _Niagara Mail_ at the time of the occurrence: "That mysterious personage, the oldest inhabitant, has no recollection of so singular an occurrence as took place at the Falls on the 30th of March, 1847. The 'six hundred and twenty thousand tons of water each minute' nearly ceased to flow, and dwindled away into the appearance of a mere milldam. The rapids above the falls disappeared, leaving scarcely enough on the American side to turn a grindstone. Ladies and gentlemen rode in carriages one-third of the way across the river towards the Canada shore, over solid rock as smooth as a kitchen floor. The _Iris_ says: 'Table Rock, with some two hundred yards more, was left dry; islands and places where the foot of man never dared to tread have been visited, flags placed upon come, and mementoes brought away. This unexpected event is attempted to be accounted for by an accumulation of ice at the lower extremity of Fort Erie, which formed a sort of dam between Fort Erie and Buffalo.'"

Should I move to New Orleans from Michigan? I am currently a resident of Grand Rapids, MI (Second Largest city in Michigan). I was born and raised here. I moved to Fort Myers, FL for a year and loved it. I have since moved back to Michigan and am itching to leave. I have visited NOLA twice in 2010 and am absolutley in love with it. The culture, the people, the food, the spirit of it all. I don't romanticize the "touristy" life all the time. I am a 30 year old male. Single, no pets, Native American decent with a great appreciation for my heritage and history in general. I have credentials in the automotive dealer industry as well as the insurance industry. I also paint so the art scene is also desirable. Keep in mind I know nobody there (closest people I know are in Dallas and Austin, TX) My basic question is am I right for NOLA and would NOLA be a welcoming place to call home?
Non-Deployable under certain reasons? This gonna be alot to read but follow along please.... I'm a SPC in the Army & been in the Army for about 2 1/2 years(got 1 more year to ETS...and YES it said 3 1/2 years on my contract), Right now I'm in Korea, while my family(wife & 3 kids) are in Texas living at Fort Bliss till I get back(in Oct this year). I might be going to Fort Hood after I come back for a couple months at Fort Bliss. Now...I been in Korea for almost a year & my family been through alot issues....So far this is what happened: - 1/2 the time I been here(Korea) my wife doesn't really know how to manage money, so we always seem to be in the hole in our bank account. - My wife got reported to Child Protective Services in Texas saying she threaten to do "something" to our children. CPS so-called "watched" her for a few months but never went back to our house to check after the 1st visit..then closed the case. - My Wife was/is diagnosed with Bi-Polar(she takes meds now but it only gets rid of 1/2 her symptoms) - My 3 year old was/is diagnosed with Autism. - My mother-in-law (who currently lives with my wife & kids) steals my wife's meds at times, & taught my 2 year old daughter to pinch people(even pinch her own mother). Me and my wife plan on having my mother-in-law move out....So when I get back to Fort Bliss in Oct, I'll be able to help my wife with the kids because my mother in-law helps but we can't really trust her with certain things. Now here's the thing.......What if I do go to Fort hood....It's a rapid deployable base & if I get deployed, My wife won't have any help with the kids(ages: 10 months,2 years and 3 years). I also mentioned she's Bi-polar & at times she forgets to take her meds. So I'm worried about what's gonna happen to the kids if I'm not there to help. Sure there's all these "Programs" in the Army that help you out with families with special needs....BUT are they as reliable as me when being there to help with my wife? There's not really anyone on my side of the family that can help with my wife because they're trying to live their lives. As for my wife's side of the family...she doesn't like being around them too much & they add to the depression she already has with being Bi-Polar. Now here's my question.....Under these certain reasons can I still be deployed? I mean MY FAMILY comes first & foremost..not the Army. And if somehow they send me to get deployed & the reasons above stay the same....I'll just have to detach myself from the Army in someway shape or form...I don't want to do that but as a LAST resort & for wife & kids I will. BTW...We can hardly effort daycare on base(even with the "deployment discount")...so that's out of the question on taking care of our kids. And..... When we had money issues a Lt. at Fort Bliss referred that my wife go to a Financial Class.....she didn't go. Jason: So...I'm not allowed to support my wife in raising our kids even tho she has a mental illness which at times is DANGER to people around her & herself..including to our impatient Autistic son(3 years old) who she says is the worst out of our 3 kids? Yeah ummm.....if and when i get deployed no matter what...and something happens to my wife or kids in which no ARMY program can really stop because it happened in the privacy of our home...than who do I blame? And if I could..I would move out the country to be with my family....So it's FAMILY 1st! My Country 2nd...

Is it true that Delta Force hires soldiers who are only 21 and have only had 2 and 1/2 years of experience? Recruitment and training [edit] Recruitment Most recruits come from the United States Army Special Forces and the 75th Ranger Regiment, but some operators have come from other units of the Army.[2] Since the 1990s, the Army has posted recruitment notices for the 1st SFOD-D[3] which many believe refers to Delta Force. The Army, however, has never released an official fact sheet for the force. The recruitment notices placed in Fort Bragg's newspaper, Paraglide, refer to Delta Force by name, and label it "...he U.S. Army’s special operations unit organized for the conduct of missions requiring rapid response with surgical application of a wide variety of unique special operations skills..."[4] The notice states that all applicants must be male, in the ranks of E-4 through E-8, have at least two and a half years of services, be 21 years or older and have a GT score of at least 110 in the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test to attend a briefing to be considered for admission. wikipedia
Why is my kitten hyperventilating? I have an 8 week old kitten, he's a main coon tabby named Keifer and i love him to death. Usually he's running around playing with our other kitten all day (she's his sister, named Kennedy). However for the past two days he's been sleeping nonstop and acting very lethargic. The scariest symptom is his heavy breathing. He's taking rapid shallow breaths. On top of that, he also has lost weight in the last two days and is incredibly skinny. I dont have very much money but i dont want to lose him. I live in the Fort Worth area, so if you know of any inexpensive vets, please let me know of them. what do you think he has, and what is the cure? and what is a good way to help him not be in pain? serious answers only please, he's like my baby and i love him. :( i'm very worried!

Please help...running out of logical reasons? My boyfriend has a little girl who is 16 months old. Her mom and dad have been split up long before she was born so she has always had joint visitation with her parents. Her mother's husband is in the military, so she recently moved to the base on Fort Drum. We recently found out that she stopped giving the baby a bottle, she only uses sippy cups or drinks with straws, and she also took her out of her crib and put her into a regular twin size bed. The mom doesn't communicate at all with the babies dad, so we did not know all of these (RAPID) changes that she's been making, we were still giving her a bottle 1-2 times a day, and she still sleeps in a crib at our house. I'm not sure if any of this has anything to do with it, but...the baby does not act like a normal 1year old...she doesn't like to play with other little ones, she really doesn't like to play with her toys at all...she likes to be outside, she will run around, and she likes to climb up stairs and go down slides...but if she is inside, she only wants to be held...if you put her down, she will just stand there and cry...she will not move at all just stand in the same exact spot and cry. She throws a tantrum if you try to put her in her highchair to eat, if you put something in her mouth to eat, she will just sit there with it in her mouth until it falls out, or she gags herself, but you can feed her the same thing off of your plate while she is standing up or sitting on your lap and she will eat it fine. She doesn't talk at all, if you try to talk to her ex. Where is the kitty? she will look for the cat and reach for her, but she doesn't talk at all, she doesn't even say mama, dada, baba, anything...This is all very frustrating to my boyfriend and myself, we are out of logical reasons as to why the baby is acting like this. She would rather play by herself, or watch tv then play with other kids or act like a baby. She should be trying to get into things, and getting into mischief, running around playing with other kids...we just don't get it...PLEASE HELP...this situation makes us very confused and very sad.
could some one do this please?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!? could some one the words in to grade 8 level please here it is please and thanks Major Walsh, of the Northwest Mounted Police, was born at Prescott, County of Grenville, in 1842. In 1866, when the Fenian Raid aroused the patriotism of so many Canadians, Mr. Walsh joined the volunteers, he having previously graduated at the Military School at Kingston. His promotion was rapid, he being created ensign and subsequently acting- adjutant, next becoming Captain of the Lisgar Rifles. Entering the Cavalry School, he won well merited praise from the officer commanding, Colonel Jenyns, who declared him to be the best drilled Canadian who had graduated from the school. In 1872, he organized a troop of cavalry, which remained under his command until the following year, when he proceeded to the Northwest with the first detachment of Mounted Police, his position being that of Subordinate Inspector. During the following year he returned to Ontario on business connected with his military duties, and was promoted to the rank of Superintendent and Inspector. In May, 1874, he departed for the "Great Lone Land," with his second detachment. and marched from Dufferin to the Rocky Mountains, a distance of 1,400 miles, establishing the post now so well known as Fort Walsh. He has taken a leading part in negotiating treaties with the Indians, and has upon several occasions of great danger acted with a promptitude and decision, which marks him as an officer of the class especially fitted to deal with the treacherous savages. On the arrival of Sitting Bull on Canadian territory, the situation became one of great peril, requiring caution, boldness and tact. Major Walsh so conducted matters that he became known over the continent as " Sitting Bull's Boss." During his sojourn among the aborigines, the Major has acquired the Sioux and Blackfeet languages. By the Peigans he is known as'' White Chief of the Assiniboines," and by the Blackfeet as "The one who ties," having upon one occasion shackled four of their chiefs.
